OscarTech UK arranges the repair and refurbishment of surgical instruments for hospitals, clinics and dental practices across the UK. Repairing an instrument that can still be restored is often more cost-effective than replacing it, keeps your instrument sets complete and reduces waste. Repairs are carried out by a specialist repair partner and managed by us as your single point of contact.

- Laparoscopic and arthroscopic instrumentsForceps, punches, clip applicators and working elements.
- Electrosurgical instrumentsBipolar and diathermy forceps, hooks and instruments, and their leads.
- Powered surgical and dental equipmentPneumatic power tool handpieces, K-wire drivers, attachments, air hoses, dental drills and nozzles.
- Ophthalmic instrumentsCapsulorhexis forceps, diamond knives (regrind or new blade) and phaco handpieces.

Can you repair rigid endoscopes and telescopes?
Yes. We can arrange a standard repair, an optical rebuild or a full re-fibre and overhaul of rigid telescopes, as well as urethroscopes and nephroscopes. We will advise which is right for the fault.
Which surgical instruments can be repaired or reground?
We can arrange repair or reconditioning of scissors, forceps, needle holders, retractors, bone cutters and many other reusable instruments. Diamond knives can be reground or fitted with a new blade. Tell us what you have and we will confirm.
How much does surgical instrument repair cost?
It depends on the job and the instruments, so each repair is priced individually. Send us a list of what you need repaired and we will come back to you with a quote.
How long does a repair take?
Standard repairs are done within a week. Repairs that need new parts, and rigid endoscopes, can take two to three weeks. We will confirm the timescale for your instruments when you contact us.
Do instruments need to be cleaned before you collect them?
Yes. Instruments must be decontaminated before we collect them.
Do you repair instruments that you did not supply?
Yes. We repair instruments whoever supplied them.
Do repairs come with a warranty?
Yes. All our repairs carry our standard repair warranty.
