Which defibrillator should I buy for an office or workplace?

What is the difference between a semi-automatic and a fully automatic AED?
With a semi-automatic AED the rescuer presses the shock button. A fully automatic AED delivers the shock itself after a warning.
What are the types of defibrillator?
AEDs, for rescuers following voice prompts, either semi-automatic or fully automatic. And monitor-defibrillators, for clinicians, with manual control, monitoring and often pacing.
Can someone without training use an AED?
Yes. AEDs give step-by-step voice prompts and advise a shock only when one is needed. Training is still recommended.
Do defibrillator pads expire?
Yes. Pads and batteries have expiry dates. Check them regularly and plan replacements.
