What's in this range
Standard Mayo and Metzenbaum dissecting scissors, fine Iris scissors, Lister and Universal patterns, plus suture, suture hook-point and umbilical cord scissors.
About the patterns
Mayo scissors are heavy-duty, generally used for cutting sutures and tougher tissue. Metzenbaum scissors have longer, finer blades suited to delicate tissue dissection. Iris scissors are small and fine, typically used for precision work. Lister and Universal patterns are general-purpose bandage and dressing scissors. Suture scissors, including hook-point patterns, are designed for cutting sutures close to the knot. Umbilical cord scissors are used in maternity and community midwifery to cut and clamp the cord.
Why sterile single-use
Each pair is individually packaged and pre-sterilised with a guaranteed sharp, unused blade — useful for high-turnover procedures, infection-control or isolation settings, and community or home-visit care where on-site resterilisation isn't available. There's no reprocessing, tracking or resharpening to manage.

What's the difference between Mayo and Metzenbaum scissors?

Can sterile single-use scissors be re-sterilised and reused?
