Prostate Profile plus Premium Report

Our Prostate Health Panel is specifically designed to provide a comprehensive evaluation of prostate gland function by measuring three key markers: Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA), Free PSA, and PSA Ratio. This panel helps in the early detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of prostate conditions, including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer.

PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen): This test measures the total level of PSA in the blood, a protein produced by cells of the prostate gland. Elevated PSA levels can be an indication of prostate cancer, though they may also be seen in non-cancerous conditions.

Free PSA (PSA-Free): This test measures the amount of PSA in the blood that is not bound to other proteins. A lower ratio of free PSA can suggest a higher risk of prostate cancer in men who have already been identified as having elevated PSA levels. PSA Ratio (PSA-Ratio): This calculation compares the level of free PSA to total PSA, expressed as a percentage. The PSA Ratio helps to differentiate between prostate cancer and other prostate conditions, reducing unnecessary biopsies. This panel is recommended for men experiencing symptoms related to prostate health, such as difficulty urinating or frequent urination, especially at night. It is also advised for men over the age of 50, or those with a family history of prostate issues, as part of routine health screenings. Understanding these markers can assist healthcare providers in making informed decisions regarding further diagnostic procedures or appropriate treatment options.
